SonoLab

Echoes become a pipe wall you can orbit.

Blind ultrasonic geometry under unknown tool pose, fluid sound speed, and defect map.

What you are looking at

A tool inside a pipe fires ultrasonic looks and records echoes. SonoLab reconstructs the inner wall as a 3D surface - dents show up as geometry, not as a separate detector scoreboard.

Physics engines generate truth for scoring. The estimator only sees instrument TX/RX (plus an explicit labeled fluid calibration when absolute scale is needed).

Two labs, one product

Lab A

Physics referee

3D scalar FDTD (and optional SPECFEM) knows pose, fluid speed, and the wall. It produces the echoes used for demos and tests.

Lab B

Blind estimator

Joint geometry fit from picks alone. No silent mill pipe ID. Absolute scale only when you pass a labeled fluid sound speed.

Proof stills

Interactive mesh is the main demo. These frames show the same reconstruction flattened and in 3D.

Honest limits

Physics label: 3D_scalar_acoustic. Display mesh is resampled for interaction; it is not a claim of commercial in-line inspection imaging density. Portfolio / open research - not a field product.
